I was driving so no picture and I didn’t realize how stuck the lady was until I passed and looked in my mirror anyway. But I saw a lady high center a Porsche Panamera on a median like in my above drawing after deciding to take a fast, after the fact turn. The passenger side wheels were either not touching or barely touching at all. I imagine she messed up her bumper pretty bad just to begin with since the median is so high.
People like that are why people buy S/CUVs. They need the ground clearance not for weather or off road but because they need to drive over curbs and medians and not get stuck.

Yep, they’ll be trading that in for a Cayenne. That’s ok though, the world needs more cheap used Panameras.

I saw a W210 Mercedes high-centered on a concrete median. All four tires off the ground enough to keep it from moving.

I did that in an Explorer. I was trying to drive over a snow bank onto a filed but the snow bank had started to melt and then refroze into an ice mound.

For some reason this brought to mind Clarkson screaming “now that’s what I call FOUR-WHEEL-DRIVE!” But I don't remember to context of why it would apply.

At least you were using an suv for suv things. No idea what this woman was thinking. This was the 3rd entrance out of 4 for the vet school. People come in from all over the south to go there so she may not know the area but it’s still a dumb thing to do. There were so many other options than “guess I ought to take this super tight turn in my large car.”
